Kim: 무슨 종류인데?
Vivian: Mutt라는 거야. Mutt는 일종의 Poodle 같은  걸거야.
Kim: Mutt는 그냥 순종(purebred)이 아니라는  뜻이야.
Vivian: Purebred가 뭐야? 먹는 빵 (bread) 같은 거야?
Kim: 아냐 바보같이. 그건 엄마와 아빠가 같은  종류의 개라는 말이야.
Vivian: 둘다 Poodle 처럼?
Kim: 그래. 그렇지만 엄마와 아빠는 무슨 종류니?
Vivian: 하나는 German Shepherd 같고.
 다른 하나는 Labradeer야.
Kim: 아마 Labrador라고 하는 걸거야.
Vivian: 그게 맞아. 그리고 검정색이야.

Vivian: Calvin! 지난 번에 개줄 어디에 놓았니?
Calvin: 몰라! 왜 나한테 묻는거야?
Vivian: 지난 번에 네가 Ralphy를 데리고 나갔으니까!
