해마다 미국 최대 명절의 하나인 크리스마스 시즌이 찾아오면 미전역의 도시에서는 수많은 조명 전시회(light displays)가 열려 보는 이들의 마음을 설레게 하고 연말 할러데이 분위기를 한층 북돋운다. 덴버 메트로 지역에서도 많은 조명 전시 이벤트가 열리는데 이 중에서도 특출나게 눈에 띄는 곳이 있다. 바로 덴버 식물원의 ‘빛의 꽃’(Denver Botanic Gardens’ Blossom of Lights)이다. 이 조명 전시 이벤트는 U.S. 뉴스 & 월드 리포트(U.S. News & World Report)가 선정한 2023년 미국내 베스트 25의 하나로 선정됐다. 이 전시물은 덴버 시내 중심부(1007 York Street)에 위치하고 있으며 크리스마스 불빛으로 머리부터 발끝까지 가려져 있다. 색으로 눈부시게 빛나는 그림 나무들, 빛 터널과 겨울 전시물들은 그야말로 아름다움의 극치다. 덴버 식물원은 올해에도 크리스마스 불빛에 정원 전체를 가리는 30년 전통을 이어간다.  지난 11월 17일부터 시작돼 내년 1월 7일(오후 4시30분~오후 9시)까지 계속되며(성탄절 당일은 휴업) 입장료는 비회원 성인의 경우 25달러이고 온라인에서(현장 구매 불가) 구입하면 된다.※웹사이트→https://www.botanicgardens.org/events/special-events/blossoms-light(전화: 720-865-3500)
